Learn all about Decovil
A new fabric to add to your textile library
Decovil is tear-resistant, but also dimensionally stable and easy to shape. Furthermore it is resilient, resistant to bending, punchable and the cutting edges stay tight. Thereby the fixed fabrics are good to handle and very stable and durable. Ideally suited for the creation of hats, belts, bags and small fabric bowls, but also, for interior decoration.
Textile artist, Kim Thittichai loves to use this material for lots of her different experimental textile projects. There are a number of videos showing Kim at work with Decovil on our website and you can view some of them by clicking on the video below.
If you are interested in trying Decovil in your next textile project, then you can purchase it here. We don’t actually sell this material but our good friends at Nid Noi offer an excellent online service.

The NEC was so much fun! Thank you!
The Festival of Quilts at the NEC was so much fun, and I really appreciate all the Colouricious Club members who found to time to track me down and say hello. It was so good to see you all and I hope you enjoyed the show as much as I did. We had such a good laugh with the secret password that gave you 10% there and then!
There is a short break before the next show which is at Alexandra Palace in London on 7th – 11th October. The Knitting Stitching Show is a very popular exhibition and I will have news about my stand number and where you can find me in future newsletters. This stitch event is five days long and is in North London. If you have never been to such an event I would encourage you to come as it is the “must do” textile event in London. Colouricious will be launching new blocks that are not online and the new fabulous technique of Rollergraph creative fabric design, which I will be demonstrating. Please treat yourself to a wonderful few days of textile indulgence!
